After 45 years in the movie business, Jamie Lee Curtis is still going strong, and at 65 she doesn’t seem to see a hypothetical retirement anywhere near. She’s clearly got a desire to keep acting, a job she’s loved since she made her debut in 1978 with ‘Halloween’, where she played Laurie Strode. A role that led her to be a reference point for horror movies, participating in ‘The Fog’, ‘Prom Night’ and ‘Terror Train’, only in 1980.

Jamie Lee Curtis: a long career in horror movies
Horror was the genre where she found her place, although throughout her career she’s tried her luck at other genres such as comedy, where she also shone, such as ‘Trading Places’ (1983 ), for which she earned a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress.
Her star continued to rise rose in the Hollywood universe, as well as the number of films she was involved in, going through ‘Perfect’ (1985), and ‘True Lies’ (1994) , which led her to go one step further, winning the Golden Globe in the latter; and without forgetting other films in the horror genre that has given so much to the star, with ‘Halloween 2′, ‘Halloween: Resurrection’ (2002), ’Halloween’ (2018), ‘Halloween Kills’ (2021) and ‘Halloween Ends’ (2022).
Films that have led her to receiving awards for her career, as happened in 2021, when she received the Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival for a career in cinema and in television, where she has also had a long and storied career.
