In 2022, it marked the 50th anniversary of the release of the first film in this trilogy, one of the most acclaimed in the history of cinema. Francis Ford Coppola’s adaptation of Mario Puzo’s novel was a revolution, with an unparalleled cast of actors and actresses bringing the Corleone family to life.

The first two films, released in the 1970s, were acclaimed by critics and received significant recognition at major film awards. The third and, so far, final installment, released in 1990, did not have as much success with audiences, but still received several nominations at the Academy Awards.
