PayPal has crashed, leaving thousands of people logged out of their accounts or without the means to pay using the platform.
Here’s what we know:
Customers reported login issues with the platform, with users posting messages to social media saying that they were seeing ‘Please check your entries and try again’ error messages.
By 07:12 ET, Downdetector had already received more than seven thousand reports from users.
PayPal were quick to respond, saying that they were experiencing a “system issue” that they are currently working to resolve.
“Our technical teams are actively working towards resolving the issue,” they added in their statement.
When will PayPal be back online?
At the time of writing, we’re not sure when PayPal will be back online, but given the swiftness of the statement from the payment platform, we’re sure that they’re working on it so that their customers can get back to using the service as quickly as possible.
