It was a routine excursion but she fell into a volcano in Indonesia, this was the terrible story of Juliana Marins
This is the tragic story of the death of Juliana Marins.

On the morning of Saturday 21 June, Juliana Marins, a 26-year-old Brazilian tourist, fell off a cliff down Indonesia’s Mount Rinjani - the second-highest active volcano in the country - tragically passing away.
Reports say that Marins, an advertising graduate from Niterói, just outside Rio de Jaineiro, had reportedly lagged behind the group due to exhaustion. After requesting a brief pause, she lost her footing and tumbled hundreds of meters down the crater rim at around 6:30 a.m. local time.
Despite initial signs of life from drone footage that is said to have captured her flashlight signals and possible screams, rescuers lagged in reaching her, only able to access her location on June 24 - three days later.
“After four days of work, made difficult by adverse weather, ground and visibility conditions in the region, teams from the Indonesian Search and Rescue Agency found the body of the Brazilian tourist,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil continued.
“The Brazilian government extends its condolences to the family and friends of the Brazilian tourist for the immense loss caused by this tragic accident”, the department added,
The family of the hiker have publicly accused Indonesian authorities and rescue teams of “gross negligence”; they argue that a quicker response could have saved her life.
“Juliana suffered great negligence on the part of the rescue team,” the family posted on social media on Wednesday, June 25, adding “If the team had reached her within the estimated time of 7 hours, Juliana would still be alive. Juliana deserved much more! Now we are going to seek justice for her, because that is what she deserves! Don’t give up on Juliana!”
