Update:

The Kroger Co. is a major American retail company that primarily operates supermarkets and multi-department stores throughout the United States with the chain’s headquarters located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kroger is the largest supermarket operator in the U.S. by revenue and the country’s fifth-largest general retailer. While Walmart sells more groceries overall, Kroger tops the list when strictly defining “supermarket” retailers and boasts over 2,700 grocery retail stores under various banners and divisions across 35 states (mostly in the South, Midwest, and West) and the District of Columbia.

Now the chain is making a major shift to help shoppers who’ve felt left behind by digital-only discounts.

A new initiative at select stores now offers clients who don’t possess a smartphone the chance to secure in-store discounts via printed flyers at the entrance and customer service desks, which allows shoppers to scan one barcode at checkout and unlock all “Weekly Digital Deals.”
