What caused the latest Lay’s recall?
On Monday, Frito-Lay announced the recall after being alerted by a consumer about the presence of milk in certain batches of their 13-ounce bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips. The recall affects only the Classic Potato Chips, with no other Lay’s flavors, sizes, or variety packs impacted.
While no allergic reactions have been reported as of December 18, the company and the FDA issued the recall as a precaution. According to the alert, individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity are at risk of experiencing serious allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, if they consume the chips.

The recalled chips were distributed in Oregon and Washington through retail stores and e-commerce platforms. Consumers may have purchased these products as early as November 3, 2024.
