McDonald’s extends $5 meal deal: What other discounts is the franchise offering customers?
Hot on the heels of national burger day the company ahs extended its $5 discount deal as it seeks to make up for lost sales in Asia.
McDonald’s has extended its $5 Meal Deal in the US through to the fall. This meal deal includes a choice of a McDouble or McChicken sandwich or a four-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries, and a small drink, making it a popular option for customers seeking budget-friendly meals.
“We heard our fans loud and clear – they’re looking for even more great value from us, and this summer, that’s exactly what they’ll get,” Joe Erlinger, the president of McDonald’s USA, shared in a statement.
The company has been hard pressed to find new markets amidst a widespread boycott in important developing Asian locations. The ongoing boycott has been organised in response to McDonald’s conduct in the Israeli war on Gaza, playing a role in reduced revenue as noted by the company.
“The company is monitoring the evolving situation, which it expects to continue to have a negative impact on systemwide sales and revenue as long as the war continues,” it said in its 8-K regulatory filing back in July.
