SNAP: These states started distributing payments on July 1
The distribution schedule of SNAP coupons depends on the administration of each state. These are the areas that started giving out payments on July 1.
The US has dozens of financial aid programs for low-income populations. Among them is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, formerly known as food stamps.
Through the program, the government offers financial help to people who struggle to put food on their tables. The amount of help depends on the situation of each person or family. Whatever the amount to be received, it is deposited monthly to beneficiaries via an electronic benefit transfer card, which can be used at select retailers, grocery stores and markets on wheels.

Although SNAP coupons are part of a federal program, the distribution of payments is under the administration of each state. This means that the date of payment depends on the area in which the beneficiaries reside. Generally, SNAP benefits are issued monthly, but the exact payment schedule can differ from state to state.

Bearing in mind that the distribution of payments is administered by state and, on many occasions, depends on the month of birth, the initials of the beneficiaries, or the last digit of their Social Security number, here is the list of states that will begin distributing SNAP coupon payments on July 1 and will continue to do so throughout the month:
Alaska, North Dakota, Rhode Island and Vermont will distribute all payments on July 1, regardless of the month of birth or initial of the last name of the beneficiaries.
