The Super Bowl Halftime Show is one of the most-watched events in the United States. Year after year, the NFL and other sponsors strive to entertain millions by inviting music legends to star the half time.

The Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show was no exception, as it featured top artists: Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent, who made SoFi Stadium vibrate. However, the performers that will take part in Super Bowl LVII are still unknown.

Taylor Swift for Super Bowl LVII? The NFL "Clues" for the Halftime Show

Recently, the NFL announced that Apple Music will replace Pepsi as the new sponsor of the Super Bowl Halftime Show. The announcement has left some clues for Taylor Swift fans who believe their favorite artist will perform on the Halftime Show in February of next year. As the new sponsor, Apple Music is likely to pull out all the stops to ensure that their first performance is memorable.

Although the NFL did not mention who would perform or make any real hints, the swifties picked up a clue based on the Apple Music announcement that came Friday at midnight.

Midnight is a theme for swift

Swifties linked the time of the announcement to Swift’s recent releases. First, the singer has released her two most recent albums, “Folklore” and “Evermore,” at midnight, as well as including the word “midnight” in her lyrics for years. To top off the theory, Taylor Swift’s ninth studio album, which will be released on 21 October, is titled “Midnight.”

Swift has been very quiet about the album, only releasing little nuggets of information about the themes that will be covered through the songs.

“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams,” said the singer in a post. When describing the album, she added that “Midnight [covers] the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life.

A new sponsor could make all the difference

Additionally, Swift fans know she is famous for dropping hints about her upcoming projects in coded messages. This would be rather coded, given that the Apple Music ad does not refer to Swift in any way at all. However, when one reads between the lines, another clue emerges. Taylor Swift is on contract with Coca Cola which could have made the Pepsi-sponsored Half Time show a no-go. Now that the show will be sponsored by Apple Music, perhaps this opens the door for a performance by Swift.

Super Bowl LVII is scheduled for February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
