Ten rows behind his brother William. This is the place chosen by the Crown of the United Kingdom to place Prince Harry in the ceremony of the coronation of King Carlos III, together with Camila, who will become Queen.

Why is Prince Harry sitting away from family?

Among the more than two thousand attendees at the event, the space allocated to the youngest son of the monarch is not one of those deemed the most privileged.

Despite initial doubts, Buckingham Palace finally confirmed that the youngest of the late Lady Diana’s children would indeed be attending the celebrations, but that the place reserved for him was not in line with his relationship with the king, but rather that of other high-ranking aristocrats.

It’s a situation that is believed to be to do with the disagreements Harry has had with his father and brother after abandoning his responsibilities as a member of The Royal Family and moving to the United States with his wife, actress Meghan Markle.

The interview the couple gave to the well-known presenter Oprah Winfrey, complaining about the treatment they received and accusing the prince’s family of racism, would not have helped either, as well as the publication of Spare, where Harry reveals a darker side to some of the relationships.

Harry’s short stay

Although he will cross the pond to accompany his father on a most significant day for him, after seven decades waiting for this moment following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry will only be present at the religious ceremony before returning to California.

There, in Los Angeles, his wife and their children, Archie and Lilibet, are waiting for him, the young prince actually celebrating his fourth birthday on the day his grandfather takes center stage.
