These are the richest cities in the United States in 2023

The US is home to some of the richest cities in the world, here are the top 5, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis First Half 2023 GDP report.

It’s no surprise that the United States is home to some of the world’s wealthiest cities. From large metropolises to technology hubs, certain places in the nation have attracted both individuals and corporations, which contribute to the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP), becoming some of the richest cities in the country and in the world.

According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) report for the first half of 2023, real GDP increased at an annual rate of 1.1 percent. According to the BEA report, the increase in real GDP reflected increases in consumer spending, exports, federal government spending, state and local government spending, as well as nonresidential fixed investment.

Based on this report, the portal Insider Monkey carried out an analysis of the richest cities in the United States according to their GDP per capita. The list includes cities and certain metropolitan areas with significant economic activity.

These are the richest cities in the United States in 2023

Midland, Texas

Trenton-Princeton, New Jersey

  • GDP per capita: $113,069

This area has benefited from its strategic location close to major metropolitan areas such as New York City and Philadelphia, in addition to having important educational institutions. The economic landscape of this region spans various sectors, from finance and healthcare to research.
