This student attended a high school in Ohio for over a year until his secret was revealed
Officials arrested the supposed student after the Perrysburg High School attendee was discovered to be an adult.

In January 2024 Perrysburg High School in Ohio accepted the application of Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, a homeless migrant whose Venezuelan birth certificate showed that he was 16 years old.
However earlier this week the supposed student was arrested by the Perrysburg Police Department for allegedly forging documents. Officials now believe that the man is actually 24 years old.
The man had spent more than a year in the Ohio high school and had been placed with a local family. The family, which has hosted exchange students in the past, was granted permanent guardianship last year, even helping him to obtain a Social Security number and driving license.
A statement from the school said that Labrador Sierra had “denied the allegation and asserted that the birth certificate submitted during enrollment - which indicates he is currently 17 years old - was accurate.”
However the school district then launched an investigation which “found social media posts by others, including those claiming to be Labrador Sierra’s family.” He was arrested by Perrsyburg Township Police on Monday during a traffic stop, sitting alongside the woman who had actually led authorities to him in the first place.
The woman had sparked the whole process when she contacted the guardian family, informing them that the ‘child’ in their car was actually the 24-year-old father of her child.
She even provided evidence, sending copies of what she claimed were Labrador Sierra’s previous driver’s license and Social Security card. There were photos which appeared to show her and Labrador Sierra, along with a child. In light of this evidence, the man is now facing serious charges.
“Labrador is an illegal alien who overstayed his visa and has no legal status. US Border Patrol placed an immigration detainer on him with the local police department,” a statement from US Customs and Border Protection confirmed. “Federal charges are being pursued.”
