Tough love: Rich dad gives instructions to travel agent for daughter’s summer plans: “Not a dollar over half a million dollars”

Olivia Ferney, a travel agent for the ultrawealthy, shared on her Instagram page travelwithlivii that she gets paid a $100,000 by her clients to make the necessary arrangements for their vacations so that they never hear the word “no.” That however doesn’t mean that her clients are unwilling to say no to their prodigy.

Recently she posted a video of an exchange she had with one of her clients in which she wanted to run his daughter’s plans to celebrate a friend’s birthday past him. He didn’t hesitate to torpedo those plans.

Rich dad sinks daughter’s birthday bash plans

Brian’s daughter Jules had quite the plans to kick off her Euro Summer with a couple of weeks on a 250-foot yacht with her friends. When he asked Olivia how much that would cost, she shared that the two options Jules was looking at were $1.1 and $1.2 million per week. “Classic,” Brian responded, adding, “absolutely not.”

He said that he needed to talk with her about planning his own family vacation and that they’d be booking a yacht themselves, but that he didn’t want Jules using theirs as she’s “an absolute liability.” Brian told Olivia that Jules would have to downsize her plans and settle for a yacht that was only 150 or 100 feet, whatever, as long as it didn’t exceed the max budget he would approve. “Not a dollar over half a million dollars,” he told the travel agent.

“Just one week as well, don’t get her to suck you into doing two,” he added. “I’m not going to book two weeks, it’s just one.”
