Trump says Iran gave U.S. 10-point peace plan: “Two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated”
At the 11th hour, President Donald Trump called off the “destructive force” that was en route to Iran after receiving a “workable” peace proposal.

President Donald Trump had threatened to blow up all of Iran’s power plants and bridges, along with wiping out the “whole civilization” on Tuesday night if Tehran didn’t open the Strait of Hormuz before his 8 pm ET deadline. While that hasn’t happened per say, in a statement he said called off the “destructive force” that was en route at the 11th hour at the request of Pakistan.
However, this is “subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the complete, immediate, and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz.”
Two-week ceasefire for peace negotiations
Furthermore, Trump added that he will suspend more attacks on Iran for a two-week period. He said in a statement that this will be a “double sided ceasefire.”
Based on a conversation that he had with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, he informed that the U.S. has received a 10-point peace proposal from the Islamic Republic. In his statement, he said that we “believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate,” adding that “almost all the various points of past contention have been agreed to” between the two nations.
The two-week ceasefire will also allow for “the agreement to be finalized and consummated.”
