Warning: 170,000 bottles of this apple juice recalled over toxic substance risk

If you have bottles of Martinelli’s apple juice you should check they aren’t part of a recall announced by the California-based company.
The recall covers 170,000 round glass 10-ounce bottles as announced by the FDA.
Why has Martinelli’s apple juice been recalled
The reason for the recall is that the bottles may be affected by patulin, a toxic substance produced by some fungi.
It can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
The recall is a Class II reclall, which means the product may “cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
How to tell if your bottle of Martinelli’s apple juice is affected
The recalled bottles have a “Best by” date of December 5, 2026 and a UPC code: 0 41244 04102 2.
Martinelli did not issue a press release for the recall.
