Whether it’s groceries or toys, electronics or floral baskets, you can get (almost) everything you could possibly imagine from the Washington-founded multinational. That has turned Costco into one of the United States’ biggest retailers, with data from Numerator, a market research firm, showing 45% of U.S. households shopped there at least once in 2023.
If you happen to turn to Costco for those last-minute Christmas presents you have still to purchase, there is a chance it could save the day.
Costco’s Christmas Eve opening hours
The vast majority of Costco warehouses will be open on Christmas Eve (December 24, in case you didn’t know) between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., giving you enough to time to buy your presents, go home to wrap them and even enjoy some festive nighttime action into the bargain. Be sure to double check the store you’re planning to visit beforehand, as hours may vary in some cases.
Of course, leaving it so late may limit your options for what to buy, with stocks likely to be considerably lower than usual. So the earlier you head along to Costco on Christmas Eve, the better.
Warehouses will be closed on Christmas Day, one of seven days during the year Costco doesn’t open (New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day being the others).
