What were the winning Powerball numbers on Monday 1 August?
The roll-over jackpot has moved past the $200m mark after there were again no tickets that matched all five numbers plus the Powerball number.
The Powerball jackpot has rolled over once again, after Monday night’s draw yielded no tickets matching all six numbers. Ahead of this week’s next Powerball draw, the estimated jackpot now rises from $187 million to $202m, with a cash value of $119.5m.
What were the winning numbers on Monday 1 August?
Main draw: 15, 21, 31, 36, 65 (Powerball number: 16). The Power Play multiplier was 3.
Double Play draw: 11, 26, 27, 55, 57 (Powerball number: 2).
How do you play Powerball?
A regular Powerball ticket costs $2. To play, you choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and a Powerball number from 1 to 26.
If your six numbers match those drawn, you win the jackpot. Increasingly smaller prizes are also up for grabs if some, but not all, of your numbers come up.
What are Power Play and Double Play?
If players pay $1 extra for Power Play, their winnings will be multiplied by two, three, four, five or 10, depending on the multiplier number picked out of the hat before the draw takes place. Power Play isn’t applied to the jackpot, and the multiplier is never higher than two if you win the $1m second prize.
For an additional $1, a player’s numbers can also be entered into a second draw, known as Double Play, with a maximum jackpot of $10m.
What was the highest prize won on Monday?
According to the draw organisers, no players won either the jackpot or the $1m second prize, which is paid out for any ticket that matches five numbers but not the Powerball. Six tickets got four numbers and the Powerball, netting their holders $50,000.
