ROYAL FAMILY

Who are Camilla’s children and will they get any royal titles or have any official duties?

The coronation of King Charles III will be a three-day extravaganza taking place over the weekend with the main event set for Saturday at Westminster Abbey.

Who are Camilla’s children and will they get any royal titles or have any official duties?

The global spotlight will be firmly fixed this weekend on London and the Royal Family for the coronation of Charles III as King of England. Much has been said and written about the new monarch and his children but less so on Camilla of Cornwall’s two children.

Before marrying the current British king, Camilla Shand - her maiden name - married Major Andrew Parker Bowles in July 1973. The couple had two children: Laura and Tom Parker Bowles.

Both have opted for a more discreet lifestyle albeit Tom being a minor celebrity chef and have rarely been seen at royal events but now that Camilla has been recognised as Queen consort, the question arises as to whether her children will be given titles of nobility.

According to Majesty Magazine editor Joe Little, the treatment of King Charles’s stepchildren will not change. Their names nor their position in the family will change and the expert on British royalty has affirmed that they will not have any security or royal protection either.

Low profile

In any case, Camilla’s eldest son and writer has publicly confessed to having a close relationship with his stepfather. Laura’s eldest daughter, Eliza, was one of the bridesmaids at the wedding of Prince William and Princess Kate and both Laura and Tom were invited to Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
