PS Plus | Tekken 2, Ridge Racer 2 and other classics appear on PlayStation Servers
Sony is about to renew its service with different subscription tiers: the Premium subscription gives access to the historic catalog of PSX, PS2, PS3 and PSP.
PlayStation Plus will change starting next June. As previously leaked, Sony Interactive Entertainment was outlining a profound change in its subscription service. The Japanese company confirmed it officially and revealed that the most expensive membership, Premium, will give access to PSX, PS2, PSP and PS3 games (the latter only in streaming). Now, Reddit user the_andshrew has discovered several of these titles on the backend of the servers.
Inside the guts of the PlayStation Cloud are hidden games like Tekken 2 or Ridge Racer 3, titles that have been discovered both by their ID and the images that accompany them. The classic catalog will be made up of 340 retro games, although Sony has not shared any listings at the moment.
So far, the following five games have been leaked:
Several games of the Syphon Filter saga, registered in South Korea
It has not gone unnoticed that the South Korean age rating agency has registered some classics of the Syphon Filter saga, the action and stealth title developed by Bend Studio, the creators of Days Gone. Although Sony has not commented on the matter, it seems that Syphon Filter, Syphon Filter 2, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow will be back on PS4 and PS5.
The PS Plus service will have three different subscriptions tiers: the basic one is similar to the current one, while PS Plus Extra will add a series of PS4 and PS5 games. The Premium, as we have already advanced, is integrated with the PS Now service, which will cease to operate autonomously from June 22 in Spain. It will be possible to upgrade the tier by paying the price difference.
