Chrome is one of the new game mechanics in Fortnite Season 4. The invasion of The Herald to the new Fortnite island threatens to consume everything, although we can take benefit of it thanks to the Chrome Splash, a new item. How to become chrome in Fortnite Season 4? Where to find Chrome Splash in Fortnite?
To turn our character into chrome in Fortnite Season 4 for a limited time we have several methods:
- Throw a Chrome Splash nearby. It is a throwing object that works similarly to the Chug Splash. It can be found randomly on the ground, on sale from some characters or by smashing chrome structures.
- Enter a chrome tornado like the one in Herald's Sanctuary. This will turn our character straight into chrome.
The chrome transformation is time-limited; we can both turn ourselves into chrome and turn animals, vehicles, and scenery objects both by throwing Chrome Splashes and by bouncing at them in the form of liquid chrome. The main use of chrome is to be immune to fire damage.
In addition, in chrome form we can sprint to become liquid chrome, this makes us immune to fall damage and we can also make a second jump in the air. We can alternate at will between liquid and solid form (come on, let our character be normal).
The chrome structures can be crossed if we move our character through them.
