Where to find Zorua and Zoroark in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and how to catch them?
In this Pokémon Scarlet & Violet guide, we tell you where to find Zorua and Zoroark and how to distinguish them when they transform to catch them.
Zorua and Zoroark are back in Pokémon Generation 9, as they're available in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. In this Pokémon Scarlet & Violet guide, we tell you where to find Zorua and Zoroark, how to tell them apart when they transform, and how to catch them:
Where to find Zorua and Zoroark in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet? All locations
Zorua is Pokémon number 228, and Zoroark is Pokémon number 229 in the Regional PokéDex for Paldea, the Scarlet & Violet region. According to the games themselves, these are all the locations where Zorua and Zoroark appear in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet:
As we can see, Zorua appears in the regions northwest and northeast of The Great Crater of Paldea. It is a common Pokémon in both games, so its locations are the same whether you play Scarlet or Violet.
On the other hand, Zoroark appears in the northwest corner of the map. It is also a Pokémon common to Scarlet & Violet; in no case, we are talking about an exclusive. Another option to get Zoroark (and in fact, the simplest) is to evolve a Zorua by raising it to level 30.
How to detect and catch Zorua and Zoroark in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
Zorua and Zoroark do not show their true form in the game world until we engage in combat with them. The mechanics for detecting it are very similar to their Pokémon GO versions: we must approach any other Pokémon that appears in the Zorua or Zoroark habitat; if it is a Zorua or Zoroark, it will reveal its true form when we engage in battle.
One way to be sure to find Ditto is to "target" the Pokémon using the ZL button on the right JoyCon. Several things can happen:
Despite this, the appearance rate of Zorua and Zoroark are quite low compared to other Pokémon in these areas. However, this "trick" will help you not to go crazy when it comes to finding Zorua and Zoroark... or Ditto.
