The Last of Us will release Episode 5 ahead of schedule

The Super Bowl is almost here, and for many it’s one of those events capable of paralyzing the entire world, even if you don’t follow the NFL with the same passion as its biggest fans. For this reason, in order not to coincide with the upcoming championship match, HBO has decided to change the release date of episode 5 of The Last of Us. This means that we’re getting a much shorter wait this week before we can continue watching Ellie and Joel in their post-apocalyptic adventure. Originally scheduled for Sunday, February 12, the same day as the game between the Eagles and the Chiefs, now the new episode will be available on Friday, February 10, 2023. The updated calendar would look like this:

Becoming one of the biggest phenomena in the history of television, and barely the first big release of this new year, the series does not stop gaining followers and the number of viewers grows with each new episode. Surely the HBO calendar change is promoted with the intention of continuing this streak. We'll see if they succeed.
