Daredevil: Born Again’ has just aired its third episode, with a final cliffhanger that makes us wish the fourth episode was released today, but keeps us on the edge of our seats for almost 60 minutes about the future of Hector Ayala, White Tiger. The series is full of winks, and in this latest episode, a last name was mentioned, barely in passing, that turns out to be a key to the MCU, specifically the Spider-verse.

Spoilers for the third episode of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ below.

The name that points to the future of the MCU is revealed in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ (SPOILERS)

At the trial of Hector Ayala, accused of killing a cop, Matt sees his key witness turn on him and has to resort to a desperate measure to bolster the defendant’s defense: revealing that he is, in fact, White Tiger. During his plea, Matt names a handful of cops Ayala has helped at some point while wearing his alter-ego’s white suit, mentioning one who seems to be key to upcoming MCU productions.

In fact, Matt mentions Agent Morales. Formerly known as Jefferson Davis, he would legally change his last name to share it with his wife, Rio Morales, and his son... Miles Morales. Hopefully Miles will make his debut in the MCU sooner rather than later, although it would be bold to think that he would do so in ‘Spider-Man 4′ as a still young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is not ready to to give up the baton so soon, so the most plausible possibility is that the two of them will share the protection of Manhattan.
