The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - how to fix weapons and shields

With each passing day there are more discoveries shared by the millions of players who are enjoying The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It’s currently (and honestly, for the foreseeable future) the biggest game on Nintendo Switch thanks, among other things, to offering us an immense world full of secrets. And one of those is something that many players have been begging for since the first game: it is now possible to repair weapons thanks to a simple trick.

How to repair weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

There is no store or item as such that provides you with such a benefit. However, you can do it quickly and as many times as you want thanks to the help of an enemy in the game: Octoroks, a species that have been part of the series for decades. The trick is that if they swallow your weapons, they will spit them out fully repaired and upgraded. It’s as simple as dropping the item you want to be repaired on the ground so that their suction attack allows it to gobble it up, and as you can see in the following video, it will spit it out fully restored.

The user who shared the video reminded us that these monsters had a similar effect in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but there you were limited to rusty weapons. In Tears of the Kingdom it works with any weapon and not only returns them to their initial state, but also fully restores any applied buffs.
