Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox Game Pass? Its director is blunt: "Isn't Going to be"

The head of Larian Studios explains that they have no intention of bringing Baldur’s Gate 3 to the subscription service.

Update:
Baldurs Gate 3 no llegará Xbox Game Pass

Larian Studios has no plans to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox Game Pass. Its director, Swen Vincke, puts an end to the rumors that have appeared on the Internet after its surprise reveal during The Game Awards 2023. If you want to play it on Xbox X Series X|S and PC, you will have to go through the cashier.

Oh, we always said from the get-go, it wasn’t going to be on Game Pass, it’s not going to be on Game Pass,” Vincke notes in a conversation with IGN. “We made a big game, so I think there’s a fair price to be paid for that, and I think that that is okay. We don’t charge you any micro-transactions on top of it, so you get what you pay for. Upfront it’s a big meaty game. So I think that should be able to exist as it is. This is what allows us to continue making other games.”

On the Xbox Series X|S, it is available in digital format for a suggested retail price of $59.99. If you prefer, you can purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes a variety of in-game aesthetic bonuses, for $79.99. It is also available for PS5 and PC.

The 2023 GOTY is Baldur’s Gate 3

The best game of 2023, at least under the umbrella of The Game Awards, is Baldur’s Gate 3. Larian Studios’ game broke all the mold in a year full of heavyweights. The RPG had to compete with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, among others. Almost nothing. Our colleagues in Spain gave it a 10 out of 10 rating, the highest the site can give.

“Baldur’s Gate 3 has so much to say that it left us speechless. It is the best RPG of recent years, a natural successor to the previous installments, and a step up from Divinity Original Sin 2″, they wrote.
