Update:
Blizzard reveals ticket prices and more details for BlizzCon 2023

It’s been four years since the last in-person BlizzCon took place, but now the convention is returning to Anaheim, California. With the event happening on November 3 and 4, it’s only a matter of time before tickets are available for purchase. Now, Blizzard has shared what the tiers will look like, their prices, and other important details about BlizzCon 2023.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. PST on July 8, with General Admission tickets costing $299 USD. This is the main tier of access if you want to attend the show in the Anaheim Convention Center, including both days of the event, in-game rewards, an official BlizzCon backpack, and early access to the BlizzCon store.

The second ticket tier is the Portal Pass, which has a hefty price tag of $799 USD and includes all of the general admission benefits, alongside its own registration and security lines the day of the event, access to the “Portal Pass Lounge” that’ll offer private concessions, viewing lounges, gameplay experiences, concierge support, Blizzard employee meet and greets, and more, and earlier entrances to the convention on both days of the event.

What to expect from BlizzCon 2023

BlizzCon executive producer April McKee wrote in a press release (via GameInformer) about the efforts and direction they’re taking to welcome back fans to BlizzCon 2023. “This year, we are doubling down on the community experience for both in-person and virtual attendees, with beautiful, immersive activations throughout the Anaheim Convention Center, as well as providing all BlizzCon on-stage content for free via livestream for our global community.”

As it turns out, for the first time ever fans around the world will be able to watch the entirety of BlizzCon through the internet, as the virtual ticket is now completely free. It’ll only cost you money to visit in person, although, as always, that’s an entirely different experience than simply watching from home. Aside from special stores with collectibles and other items, attendees will be able to view the Opening Ceremony where most of the announcements are revealed live at the arena.

There’ll be plenty of panels throughout both days of the convention, as well as art, cosplay, and short film contests. There’s also other Community Night contests and a Cosplay Exhibition with its own prizes for participants. The BlizzCon Charity Auction will return in 2023, with some special collectibles to bid on to benefit Direct Relief.

Finally, the Overwatch World Cup (OWWC) will alos take place live in the arena with a live audience. The top 8 teams from the Overwatch League will compete in single-elimination bracket finals during the show.
