Fallout season finale features an Easter egg that ties everything back to the first game
In one of those “blink and you miss it” moments, the latest Prime Video series ties into the first video game in the franchise.
Fallout surprised us with one of the best video game adaptations to television. It has managed to bring the entire universe of the Wasteland and its inhabitants to life in an impressive way, with several Easter eggs hidden here and there that fans are sure to enjoy. Among all these nods and references, the last episode of this season hides one that is not only quick but also connects in a very subtle way to the first title of the series.

In the final moments of the season, Lucy arrives at the Griffith Observatory to rescue her father from the hands of Lee Moldaver. This is where all the twists and turns of the series take place: the truth about Vaults 31, 32, and 33 is revealed, as is the origin of Hank MacLean, and what Siggi Wilzig created and stole after defecting from the Enclave: a cold fusion reactor.
The leader of the New California Republic knew she needed a code from a Vault-Tec executive to activate. Using Hank as a hostage, she forces him to enter the code. The number Hank types in is “101097″, a clear reference to Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game’s release date of October 10, 1997.

The Fallout series began in 1997, and while it has had its ups and downs, it has remained a benchmark in Western role-playing games. From its isometric beginnings to its transition to 3D, as well as several spin-offs, it has left its mark on television adaptations of this type.
