Hitman: World of Assassination will soon let you “kill” Van Damme in the new mission The Splitter

Jean-Claude Van Damme is the new guest star of Hitman: World of Assassination - formerly known as Hitman 3 - as the main protagonist of a new DLC called The Splitter. In this new Elusive Target mission, Van Damme is Max Valliant, a former operative of the same agency as Agent 47, whom players will have to eliminate in his new exclusive level... if they can.

The Splitter is a new Elusive Target mission for Hitman: World of Assassination that will be available on December 12, and in which we will have to face Jean-Claude Van Damme himself, who plays Max Valliant in the game. The very name of this DLC gives us a clue as to where the game is going; it is a play on words with the splits - Van Damme’s signature maneuver - and the fact that he seems to have a double, giving the impression that he is “splitting”, which is a funny reference to his filmography, since in several of the stories he has starred in he has had twins or clones.
In The Splitter, Van Damme is Max Valliant, a former ICA agent who was thought to have been eliminated years ago after it was discovered that he was playing multiple sides and working for different organizations simultaneously. Seeking revenge for this assassination attempt, Valliant has taken control of an ICA facility in Chongqing and requested a meeting with the agency’s board of directors. Agent 47’s mission consists of several objectives: escort an ICA board member into the facility, discover what Valliant’s real plan is, and eliminate him. The corrupt Valliant’s only weakness seems to be his great self-confidence, and he is one of the most deadly enemies Agent 47 has ever faced.
Hitman’s Elusive Target missions are notable for their enormous difficulty, making them an interesting challenge for veteran players. In these types of scenarios, we only get one shot to complete them successfully, and the mission briefing gives us a somewhat vague description of the target’s location. This forces players to use their wits to the fullest when it comes to advancing undetected or finding effective methods to take out the target without being seen.
Jean-Claude Van Damme has lent his voice and face to the re-creation of Max Valliant in Hitman: World of Assassination, and after starring as one of Johnny Cage’s skins in Mortal Kombat 1, he is excited about this new video game collaboration. This great action movie star, who began his career in the late 80’s, is still going strong today thanks to collaborations and events like this in the video game scene, demonstrating the great synergies that can exist in the digital realm when combining film and video games.
