Lady Gaga is dropping into Fortnite Festival in a new collaboration
Fortnite is getting yet another superstar into the game, with Lady Gaga finally learning how to write Fortnite, and bringing her music to Fortnite Festival
After years of confusion about what “Fortnight” is, Lady Gaga is finally making her appearance in Fortnite with an upcoming collaboration with Epic Games.
Gaga posted an image of what seems to be her Fortnite alter-ego surrounded by ethereal purple light and smoke obscuring her face. It would be more of a mystery if the picture didn’t have the Fortnite Festival logo on the bottom right corner, followed by a date. This is how the tease suggests that something Gaga-related is making its way to the rhythm game within Fortnite on February 22.
Of course, when we joke about Gaga mistaking the game’s title we are referring to a Tweet she posted four years ago in that simply said “What’s fortnight”. The artist herself joined the fun by making the announcement as a retweet of that old post, finally correcting the spelling of the game and accompanying it with the tease.
Lady Gaga joins a long list of musical artists that have collaborated with Epic Games and Fortnite, including The Weeknd, Eminem, Travis Scott, and many, many more. All of them have received premium outfits that players can purchase and use to join the free-to-play battle royale. It’s not uncommon to see any of them teaming up with Master Chief, Kratos, and Naruto, blazing through the island and getting headshots.
TMNT are the latest crossover in Fortnite
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga event has already arrived in Fortnite. It has brought many changes and new features to the game. It will run from February 9, 2024, at 9:00 AM ET through February 27, 2024, at 9:00 AM ET. These dates and times correspond to the following in the United States:
One of the main novelties of this event is a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Battle Pass. As in previous occasions, it is divided into two halves: the upper half allows us to get free items by playing and completing quests, but to get those in the lower half we have to buy the mini-pass itself, which costs 1,000 V-Bucks (Fortnite’s virtual currency). To unlock the rewards, you will need to complete quests to get Ooze and thus advance in the minipass.
