We are all very, very much looking forward to June 5, 2025. It will be the day that we hold the Nintendo Switch 2 in our hands, and what better way to celebrate than with the long-awaited Mario Kart World, the new and ambitious installment of the saga that will allow us to race with more than 50 characters in a huge open world. There is barely a month and a half left until the long-awaited moment, but tomorrow we will have news about the game, as the Japanese company has just announced a new Nintendo Direct dedicated to it for tomorrow, Thursday, April 17.

When and what time is the Mario Kart World Nintendo Direct?

The recently announced Mario Kart World-only Nintendo Direct will take place next Thursday, April 17, at 6 a.m. PT. You can watch it on Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as on any smart device compatible with the Nintendo Today app.

These are the times you can watch the Mario Kart World Nintendo Direct in the United States:

  • 9:00 am ET
  • 8:00 am CT
  • 6:00 am PT

What can we expect from this Nintendo Direct?

We already saw a glimpse of Mario Kart World during the Nintendo Switch 2 presentation a few weeks ago, so this Direct could focus on more details such as its game modes, items, open world, and some other surprises. It could also be an opportunity for Nintendo to clarify the pricing of its games, considering that Mario Kart World will come with an $80 price tag.
