Meet David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, the new Superman and Lois Lane of the DC Universe
James Gunn’s new DC Universe just got its two biggest stars so far in Superman and Lois Lane’s new actors, and here’s everything you need to know about them.
DC Studios has finally revealed who their next Superman and Lois Lane are going to be, and fans are taking the news pretty well. David Corenswet will be playing the Man of Steel in the upcoming “Superman: Legacy”, directed by James Gunn and set to release in 2025. Opposite to him, we’ll see Rachel Brosnahan giving life to the ever-daring reporter Lois Lane.
While some may recognize their names, the truth is that on the grander scale of Hollywood, they could also pass as relatively unknown actors, but both of them have some incredible credits to their names. There’s no denying that they are completely new to the superhero genre that’s grown exponentially in the past few decades, but that might be exactly what Gunn is looking for in his new DC Universe.

Brosnahan, 32, is quite probably the better-known face this time around thanks to her participation in some highly regarded series. Best known for her role as “Midge” Maisel in the Amazon Prime Video series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (with two Golden Globes for Best Performance by and Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy, both in 2018 and 2019, and Emmy, and many more nominations), she’s had experience in both TV and the big screen, and is now ready to play one of the key figures in Superman (and DC) lore.
