Metal Gear Solid Delta shines with gameplay in a new trailer, but there’s some not-so-great news
The remake of MGS3, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, has finally unveiled its modernized gameplay, but we won’t be playing it soon.
The latest State of Play didn’t have any snakes, but Konami still hadn’t said its last word. Just because the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake) in May of last year made fans of the franchise very excited. So today, it is no wonder that fans are losing their minds over a new trailer that shows off just what to expect from the title, but that does not confirm when it will be released.
Surprisingly the reveal happened during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, where it showed up with a new trailer in which it shows its renewed graphics and just how faithful it will be to the original although neither Hideo Kojima nor his team are involved.
Where to play the original Metal Gear Solid 3
While the wait for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will still be a long one, we would not be surprised if many players want to play again—or discover for the first time—the original version. Luckily, it is not one of those inaccessible titles that have been forgotten. Quite the opposite: It can be found on various platforms.
Beyond the original PS2 version, there is a version for Nintendo 3DS and a remaster in high definition included in the Metal Gear Gear Solid HD Collection for PS3 and Xbox 360, which also includes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. It is backwards compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
But the most practical option It is the one that recently arrived on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Because it comes with MGS and MGS 2 in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 bundle.
