Naruto owes its success to One Piece, according to Masashi Kishimoto himself

The mangaka creator of Naruto recognizes that Eiichiro Oda was his special Sasuke. His rivalry with One Piece was the fuel that gave us Konoha.

Update:
Naruto

Masashi Kishimoto is open-heartedly. The author of Naruto has gone viral again for an interview in which he talks about the origins of the manga and his special relationship to One Piece. According to Kishimoto himself, Eiichiro Oda was something like his Sasuke. The mangaka behind the straw hats was always the mirror in which he looked at himself, the person in whose wake he followed, his rival.

“One Piece debuted about a year earlier than Naruto did, even though we’re the same age. He (Eiichiro Oda) beat me to it. I was very envious in the beginning and yet, at the same time, I wanted not only be like him, but I wanted to surpass him. In some ways I feel like the reason Naruto was able to be published and was able to succeed was because of One Piece.”

When does Boruto Shippuden start?

It is worth remembering that Boruto will return in August after a 4-month hiatus, with a time skip and a name change. The series will no longer be called Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, but Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Kishimoto will try to mark a point and distance similar to the one between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.

Considering that Boruto became a renegade ninja at the end of the last chapter and Sarada awakened the Mangenkyou Sharingan, we could not be more eager to see what has become of them. It’s as if the new generation of Uzumaki and Uchiha is destined to repeat the story of their parents, but in reverse. Instead of Naruto following Sasuke and wanting to be Hokage, it’s Sarada following Boruto and wanting to be the leader of Konoha.

The return of Boruto kicks off a busy end of the year for Naruto fans. In addition to the manga preview, there is the new spin-off manga based on Minato (which is already available to read), the return of the original Naruto anime with 4 special episodes (which also has a release date), and a new video game in the series, Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS, which we should hear about soon, as it will be released in 2023.
