G-SYNC comes to GeForce NOW

NVIDIA is also bringing G-SYNC technology to the cloud to improve the streaming performance of its remote service, reducing latency and minimizing flicker for a smoother gaming experience. New 60 and 120 fps streaming options for GFN Reflex mode are designed to bring the remote gaming experience closer to what we’ve seen on the PC Master Race.

Changes in Android and the incursion into the nation of the rising sun.

Mobile gamers running Google’s operating system will get 1440p resolution. And Japan will be the new country for GeForce NOW.

Generative AI

As part of the announcements, NVIDIA also unveiled AI Workbench, a unified, easy-to-use toolset that helps developers build, test, and customize pre-trained generative AI and LLM models with PC-like performance and memory consumption.

Launching in beta later this month, AI Workbench offers simplified access to popular repositories such as Hugging Face, GitHub and NVIDIA NGC, along with a streamlined user interface that allows developers to easily replicate, collaborate and migrate projects.

Projects can be scaled to virtually any location, including the data center, a public cloud, or the NVIDIA DGX Cloud, and then brought back to local RTX systems on a PC or workstation for inference and easy customization.

NVIDIA ACE

The company also announced NVIDIA Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE), a set of production microservices that enable game, tool, and middleware developers to integrate generative AI models into digital avatars in games and applications. These will enable the creation of interactive avatars using AI models such as NVIDIA Audio2Face (A2F), which creates expressive facial animations from audio sources, and NVIDIA Riva Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), which uses generative AI to create customizable speech and multilingual translation applications.

Developers who have announced their adoption of ACE include Charisma.AI, Convai, Inworld, miHoYo, NetEase Games, Ourpalm, Tencent, Ubisoft, and UneeQ.

Generative AI is definitely going to be a hot topic in the industry in 2024, and NVIDIA wants to have the last word.
