OD is Hideo Kojima’s horror game for Xbox, and its first trailer is insane

The eccentric Japanese creative appears at The Game Awards 2023 and confirms he’s working with Jordan Peele.

Hideo Kojima appeared on stage at The Game Awards 2023 crossing a door that reminded us of P.T., the ill-fated Silent Hills of the eccentric creative with Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus. As you well know, the creative does not give stitch without thread, because instead of showing us Death Stranding 2, what he has done is to announce OD, a new horror game for Xbox. There is no information on the release date, but we have a first trailer that we do not even know what to say.

Upcoming games from Xbox Game Studios

Beyond multiplatform releases like Persona 3 Reload or Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, the Xbox Series X|S has a future full of great games ahead, and while not all of them have a set release date, the truth is that Microsoft has guaranteed several years in which we will see titles of all kinds.

  • Stalker 2: Shadow of Chornobyl - One of the surprises of this month, as its new gameplay came with the best possible news: its release is just around the corner and shows that the studio has been able to overcome the many problems during its development.
  • Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 - We have something very clear and that is that its graphics will be a real madness. The first one surprised everyone and this time it will be different. Will you be able to distinguish it from reality?
  • Fable 4 - fans of fantasy and magic adventures are waiting for it as a dream come true, because we are talking about one of the star series of Microsoft. The most curious thing is that it is being developed by Playground Games, the authors of Forza Horizon 5. There is no confirmed release date.
  • Avowed - The dark fantasy RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (Fallout, Pentiment, Pillars of Eternity, The Outer Worlds...) has similarities with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and will be released sooner rather than later, as it is scheduled for 2024.
  • Perfect Dark - The Initiative is behind the return of spy Joanna Dark in a sequel long awaited by fans of Rare’s legendary FPS for Nintendo 64. But make no mistake, it’s a long way from release and we know absolutely nothing about it.
  • The Elder Scrolls 6 - The Most Wanted. The next adventure of Bethesda’s RPG saga after Skyrim, the game that came out on 11/11/11 and people are still playing it like it was the first day. Nothing is known about it, but it is still the most awaited of all. The bets point to 2026, at least...
