The Doctor is in! Overwatch’s most important partnership of 2018 is back, bringing a fan-requested skin and supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

One of Overwatch’s most legendary skins returns after a 6-year wait

Overwatch is full of themed skins that have become the stuff of legend. While there are skins based on holidays, seasons, sports, and others that are in constant rotation, there are also temporary skins that we have never seen again. Some were given as a reward for attending BlizzCon, purchasing a product, or participating in one of the many in-game events. But there is one that stands out because of how rare it is. After 6 years of waiting, the limited-edition Pink Mercy skin is back.

Mercy for a Cause Campaign is Back

Starting June 25th, the “Mercy for a Cause” campaign between the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Overwatch 2 will give users access to not one, but two limited edition skins that bring back the fan-favorite Mercy: Pink Mercy and the new Rose Gold Mercy.

Blizzard is thrilled to be working alongside BCRF once again, bringing attention and funding to such an important cause,” said Johanna Faries, the president of Blizzard Entertainment. “Overwatch recently crossed the 100 million lifetime player milestone, and we hope that our amazing community will once again rally to help support the critical work of BCRF, all while showcasing these beautiful skins in-game.”

How do I get Pink Mercy in Overwatch 2?

Since this is a charity campaign, access to these skins will come at a cost and will only be available for a limited time. The “Mercy for a Cause” campaign will run from June 25 to July 8, and will allow players to purchase the Pink Mercy Bundle for $14.99 and the Rose Gold Mercy Bundle for $19.99. The bundle includes the skin, Mercy Heroic Weapon Skin, three sprays, name cards, and player icons “designed by community artists Angela Ziegler (@A2Ziegler) and Dani Ellis (@OWGrandma).”

“One hundred percent of the purchase price of these products, excluding applicable platform fees and taxes, will be donated to the BCRF,” the press release states. Back in 2018, this activity managed to raise $12.7 million in two weeks, making it the largest donation the foundation has ever received.

Overwatch 2 is available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
