Pikmin 4 released a new trailer and a demo you can play right now

It’s time for a new space adventure at a tiny level, as Pikmin 4 rushes in with a new trailer and a playable teaser available now.

Update:
Pikmin 4 released a new trailer and a demo you can play right now

The wait for Pikmin 4 to crashland onto our consoles gets smaller and smaller, and to warm up the engines Nintendo has revealed a new 7-minute trailer for the game where you can see the different features and mechanics of the new title, which are loaded with news and updates to refresh the series after almost a decade since the premiere of Pikmin 3. And it turns out that this trailer does not come alone, because Nintendo has also released a demo so you can get a quick taste of what’s to come.

The Pikmins are back, and ready to battle

One of the new features that the trailer emphasizes the most is the Dandori battles, a competitive challenge that we can carry out against an AI or other players. The objective of these battles will be to see who is able to use their Pikmin more efficiently to collect valuable items, something you can now see in action in the trailer below. Another novelty is the Base Camp, where we can accept side missions and talk to other characters in the game.

The preview also shows off new types of Pikmin, the possibility of making night expeditions for the first time, and your new partner, Oatchi, an alien dog that will help you achieve your goals, at the same time that it helps defend you or finds new objects thanks to its magnificent sense of smell and whose abilities we can improve in our camp. In addition, Oatchi will also serve as a mount. Finally, we have been able to see what the RPG features that the game will have will be like, such as the ability to develop our character thanks to gear and abilities.

Pikmin 4 will arrive on July 21 exclusively on Nintendo Switch, but you can already enjoy the demo that Nintendo has released in its eShop, and it is the first title in the franchise released in over a decade, as well as the first for Switch, not counting the re-release that Pikmin 3 had for the console. This is also the second-ever game developed by Nintendo that uses Unreal Engine.
