Pokémon GO is giving away another Master Ball to all players, but there’s a time limit

Niantic and The Pokémon Company are bringing back the Master Ball for all players to get, but there’s a time limit to do so.

Niantic has finally added a second Master Ball to Pokémon GO, available only to players who complete all the tasks of a new free Timed Investigation. In this article we’ll tell you how to get the Master Ball, and how much time we have to get it:

How to get another Master Ball in Pokémon GO: This is what to do

The Master Ball first came to Pokémon GO on 05/22/2023 as a reward for completing the Special Research called Let’s Go! However, as this event is no longer in the game, having been retired, the developers have added a second Master Ball to Pokémon GO which must also be acquired within a limited time: we have until 11/21/2023 at 8PM local time to complete all of tasks in the investigation and earn all of its rewards.

Pokémon GO - Timed Investigation: Master Ball

  • Catch 1000 Pokémon - 8000 XP
  • Win 60 raids - 8000 XP
  • Hatch 30 Eggs - 8000 XP
  • Catch 100 different species of Pokémon - 8000 XP
  • Make 120 Excellent Throws - 8000 XP
  • Complete 150 Field Research tasks - 8000 XP
  • Explore 50 km - 8000 XP
  • Spin 300 PokéStops - 8000 XP
  • Earn 100,000 XP - 8000 XP
  • Earn 100,000 Stardust - 8000 XP
  • Completion Rewards: 20,000 XP, 3000 Stardust, and a Master Ball.

In short: we have 81 days to complete all these tasks and thus be able to get a new Master Ball. Just like in the main Pokémon series games, the Master Ball instantly catches any Pokémon we throw it at. It never hurts to have one to spare in case a Legendary or Shiny resists us after defeating them in a Raid.
