Pokémon Sleep reveals new usage details and launches pre-registration

Pokémon fans are about to get a better night’s sleep, as The Pokémon Company has announced new details about the upcoming Pokémon Sleep experience, as well as the start of pre-registration.

Pokémon Sleep, pre-registration begins

A press release announced that Android users can now pre-register for this new application through the Google Play Store. For now, iOS users are invited to “stay tuned for more updates!” through the brand’s social media. For now, there is no launch date.

Learn more about how to play Pokémon Sleep

Along with this announcement, a new video was released showing the user interface and how users will be able to use the Sleep Log to catch Pokémon while asleep and fill up their Sleep Style Dex.

During the day, users will have to take care of a Snorlax by feeding it berries and preparing food and drinks to give it strength. Each week, you will meet a new Snorlax, as we will change the area where you can find different Pokémon every Monday.

At night, either through your smartphone or Pokémon GO Plus+, sleep tracking will begin. The more the player rests, the higher the score. At the end of each recording, players will receive a score, which is multiplied by the strength of Snorlax to determine Sleep Power. The more power you have, the more Pokémon will appear next to Snorlax, allowing players to discover new positions. One thing the video mentions is that getting enough sleep is key to studying the different poses in which Pokémon sleep.

Another feature that Pokémon Sleep will offer as part of its sleep registry is the ability to see the time you went to sleep and woke up, as well as other information about your rest, such as how you moved during the night, or even listen to the sound recordings you make each night. In addition, we will be able to know the type of sleep we had, being these Dozing, Snoozing and Slumbering.

Pokémon Sleep was revealed at the Pokémon 2019 press conference as a game developed by Select Button.
