Release Date and Confirmed Cards for Space-Time Smackdown, the New Expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket
The fourth generation is the protagonist of the new major expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket.

Say goodbye to the rumors: Creatures and DeNA have closed the mouths of the leakers who pointed to Johto as the chosen region for Pokémon TCG Pocket’s second major expansion. After all, the powers that be have chosen Sinnoh (Gen 4) to capture the more than 200 new cards that will be coming to the game very soon. This is not a mini-expansion like Mythical Island; this is the sequel to Genetic Apex, which has been with us since its launch in October 2024.
Space-Time Smackdown release date announced for Pokémon TCG Pocket
Space-Time Smackdown will be coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket at no additional cost on January 30th. It will do it with 2 packs, starring the legends of Diamond and Pearl: Palkia and Dialga.
First Space-Time Smackdown confirmed cards
The first confirmed cards focus on the expansion’s main characters. Dialga will have an EX version with 150 Health and two important abilities. Metallic Turbo deals 30 damage, but also “Take 2 Energy from your Energy Zone and attach it to 1 of your benched Pokémon. If you add four Energies, you can perform Heavy Impact for 100 damage. Almost nothing.
Palkia, on the other hand, has the same health as its partner, but the first attack only requires one Water Energy to do 30 damage. The second, which requires 4 Energy to do 150 damage, has the following ability: “Discard 3 Water-type Energy from this Pokémon. This attack also does 20 damage to each of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon.”

The video also gives us a glimpse of Pachirisu EX, Leafeon, Cresselia, Gible, and Honchkrow. The look at Cynthia Full Art is important because she has the following ability: “During this turn, attacks from your Garchomp or Togekiss do +50 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon.” An important turn for these two Pokémon. Interesting decks are coming.
What will happen to Genetic Apex and Mythical Island?
There will be no changes to the previously released expansions. You will still be able to expand your collection by opening packs of both Genetic Apex and Mythical Island.
