Star Wars Skeleton Crew: Season 1

So it is confirmed that the Skeleton Crew series will have 8 episodes for its Season 1, a very familiar number for Star Wars fans. And it is that other series such as Ahsoka or The Acolyte share the same number of episodes, the latter already scheduled for 2024 on Disney+. It should be remembered that Jon Watts (director of the Spider-Man trilogy in the MCU) and Christopher Ford wrote most of the script for Skeleton Crew, while episodes 5 and 6 are the work of Myung Joh Wesner.

On the other hand, the names of the prominent directors of these 8 episodes of the first season of Skeleton Crew are confirmed; as it happens in other Star Wars series, several filmmakers will be in charge of the different episodes. This time around, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheiner (Everything Everywhere All at Once), David Lowery (The Green Knight) and Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts) will be joining director and actress Bryce Dallas Howard, a regular in the TV franchise who will return to Star Wars, and Dave Filoni, who will also direct an episode. Another regular from The Mandalorian, Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), also joins the behind-the-scenes directing team for Skeleton Crew.

Skeleton Crew is set after the events of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and will star actor Jude Law alongside four children who make a mysterious discovery on their planet; also joining Law will be Kerry Condon, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith.
