One of the most important action sagas of recent years is The Equalizer. Starring Denzel Washington, one of the most prominent actors in Hollywood in recent decades, and who has managed to convert himself into an action hero just like Liam Neeson did, the actor returns for a third installment that will mark the end of the series for both the actor and its director, Antoine Fuqua. It is the fourth time that the actor and director coincided, with the fantastic Training Day among the films they have shared.
The Equalizer 3 release date
The Equalizer 3, the final chapter of the movie adaptation of the 1980′s spy thriller originally co-created by Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim, is opening in theaters on September 1, 2023. There’s very little time left for fans of the mysterious action hero back on the big screen.
While it’s common for series like this to keep going for years on end, Sony Pictures has been clear with its marketing, this is The Equalizer’s final chapter, and it marks an end for Denzel Washington’s tenure as Robert McCall.
If you’re waiting for the movie to come to streaming so you can enjoy it at home, then there’s no set date for its release in this format. However, Sony has a deal in place to release its newer movies on Netflix, so it would be safe to assume that The Equalizer III will be released on said streaming service at the end of 2023 or early 2024.
