The script for the canceled ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ leaks, and it was completely wild
Miles Morales’ debut and Moon Knight’s return were just two of the epic moments planned for the movie.
Jonathan Majors’ legal troubles derailed Marvel Studios’ plans for its current phase. Until the actor faced allegations of domestic abuse, Kevin Feige and his team had positioned Kang the Conqueror as the phase’s main villain. Now, with ’Avengers: Doomsday’ and ’Avengers: Secret Wars’ set to release, featuring Dr. Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) as the big bad, the script for the planned ’Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ has surfaced, revealing a movie packed with surprises.
The script was written by Jeff Loveness, known for his work on the popular animated series ’Rick and Morty’, alongside Michael Waldron (’Loki’, ’Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’). The screenplay included many standout moments, such as the long-awaited debut of Miles Morales in the MCU, though the timeline for that remains uncertain. Additionally, the script planned the return of the three Spider-Men: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and, of course, Tom Holland.
Other highlights included a team-up between Deadpool and Wolverine, along with the much-anticipated return of Moon Knight. The movie would have also delved into the dynamic between Ravonna and Kang, who would use his variants to create a kind of Battleworld for a grand showdown. However, this was only a draft, and many elements might have been altered or cut.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ marks the future of the MCU’s Phase 5
Last week, the casting lineup for ’Avengers: Doomsday’, set to release in 2026, was revealed. Among the noteworthy inclusions were unexpected returns like Chris Hemsworth, as well as new additions like Channing Tatum and Paul Rudd. But perhaps most surprising is the return of the original X-Men cast members, including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden.
