Triumphant Light now has a release date in Pokémon TCG Pocket: Arceus coming soon
The Pokémon Presents on February 27th let us know what the next Pokémon TCG Pocket miniset will be.
The magic of discovering them in Pokémon Presents was gone. The Pokémon Company screwed up and posted an announcement on social media showing some of the new cards in the next expansion, which will focus on Arceus ex and bring new strategies that will change the metagame. It is Triumphant Light, which will be released in Pokémon TCG Pocket on February 28th. It is a Mythic Island-like mini-expansion, a bridge between Space-Time Smackdown and the next major expansion.

The most striking thing about Triumphant Light is that it is an Arceus-centric expansion. Not only is he its protagonist, but he is also the centerpiece of several decks built around him. Unlike larger sets like Formidable Genes and Space-Time Smackdown, the booster packs seem to come in a single model with Arceus' image on it, suggesting that this is a mini-expansion similar to Mythical Island, which centered on Mew and also featured a single booster design and a reduced selection of new cards.
In addition to Arceus ex himself, the confirmed cards include popular creatures such as Tyranitar, Carnivine, Rotom, Heatran, and Crobat. There are also new versions of Raichu and Magnezone, known in card game parlance as Retrains, with new synergy abilities that link them to Arceus ex and give them specific advantages. As for the Creator Pokémon, it has the Mythic Shine ability, which makes it immune to special conditions like Sleep and Paralysis, allowing it to stay in play without interruption.
The new Triumphant Light expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket will be available on Friday, February 28, 2025. You will need to update your game to enjoy the new content. In addition, to celebrate Pokémon Day, Pokémon TCG Pocket will be giving away special upgrade packs that we can get between February 27, 2025 and April 30, 2025, as well as new special missions and ranked encounters at the end of March.
