How many episodes does The Rings of Power have and when will they be released?
Prime Video confirms the premiere date of all the first season episodes of the new series set in the world of Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings.
The Rings of Power is just around the corner. The new series of The Lord of the Rings will premiere on Prime Video on September 2 and its creators wanted to share the schedule and format of the same. From how many chapters it has to when each and every one of its episodes will be released. The series will air between September 2 and October 14, getting up early every day.
How many episodes are in The Rings of Power?
The Rings of Power has 8 one-hour episodes. Amazon has stated several times that the series will consist of 5 seasons and about 50 hours, so either the following seasons have more episodes, or there will be chapters somewhat over sixty minutes. This is how JD Payne, one of the showrunners, expressed himself about its length:
"They knew from the beginning that was the size of the canvas – this was a big story with a clear beginning, middle and end. There are things in the first season that don’t pay off until Season 5."
When are the new episodes of The Rings of Power coming out?
As yet unnamed, all episodes of The Rings of Power come out every Friday night. The first two premiere at the same time worldwide and will be available a little earlier, but the rest will arrive at dawn. Here is the schedule and the time they will be available on Prime Video.
