The injury occurred during Wednesday’s game, when White Sox baserunner Michael A. Taylor slid into Muncy while attempting to steal third base in the sixth inning. He is expected to be out of action for at least six weeks

The loss is a major blow for the California club – Muncy has hit 13 home runs and driven in 55 runs, with an .832 OPS across 81 games this season.
