Dodgers announce rotation for Opening Series

In the Tokyo Series, the Dodgers started Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki, who made his debut in Game 2. Sasaki had a decent debut, but struggled at the bottom of the third inning, giving up a single and allowing a run to score on three consecutive walks. Despite that, the Dodgers look to have one of the best rotations in baseball.

The Dodgers’ rotation for their 2025 Opening Series against the Tigers has been set, with two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell as the Opening Day starter, followed by Yamamoto and Sasaki. Sasaki, expected to be the No. 2 starter, will actually be the No. 3, which bumps Tyler Glasnow down the order. Glasnow is slated to debut against the Braves on March 31, with Dustin May following.

The team faces tough competition in the Tigers’ series, especially with Snell facing off against reigning Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal, but the Dodgers have the advantage offensively. Yamamoto will likely face off against former Dodger Jack Flaherty, and Sasaki will likely face Reese Olson.

Game 1 of the Detroit Tigers vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Opening Series begins at 7:10 p.m. ET at Dodgers Stadium.
