We now know that the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays will fight it out for the Commissioners’ Trophy in the World Series, with both sides sealing their ticket after sensational performances in the previous games.

Anticipation is through the roof for both sets of fans who have historical records pushing them on: for the Dodgers, this could see them seal back-to-back championships; meanwhile, the Blue Jays haven’t made it this far since 1993.

As a result, ticket prices are high. Really high. On Ticketmaster, the cheapest available seats for Game 1 are listed at $2,389 in the upper deck, while premium seats exceed $9,200. StubHub has tickets on sale from around $2,278 to over $7,500 for seats near the field.

And for some, the view from their seat will be extra special. The Blue Jays play at Roger Centre, a stadium which has seen the Marriott Hotel take over one side, placing a number of hotel rooms directly overlooking the plate and mound.

When it’s not a match day, people can get a room overlooking the stadium for just 900 CAD, which is around $600 USD. The 750 square foot room fits 5 and has air conditioning, a marble bathroom, and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the action. You also have to pay for bottled water, which I think is a bit cheeky.

However, good luck getting this room when the Blue Jays are playing - you have to be lightning quick as it’s the most prized spot in Toronto.
