Mitch Garver the hitter now with runners on first and second and two outs. Garver lines a hard shot to third but directly at Emmanuel Rivera and that is the ball game! The Diamondbacks take Game 2!
Adolis Garcia the hitter and Marcus Semien steals second without a throw.
The count runs to 3-1 and Frias keeps the delivery down in the dirt for the fourth ball and Garcia draws the walk.

Corey Seager up now and he lifts a fly ball to center field but Alek Thomas is able to get to it and put it away. One down

Marcus Semien leads off for the Rangers and he rips a single into center field.

Emmanuel Rivera up now and he pokes a single to left! Peterson scores! Gurriel scores! Rivera is caught in a rundown and tagged out at second but the D-backs stretch that lead by two more!
Alek Thomas to the plate and he dribbles one to short. The only play is at first and Seager goes there for the second. Peterson goes to third and Gurriel goes to second.
Lourdes Gurriel up now and he rips a fly ball to shallow center, a little dinker that drops in for a single. Peterson advances to second
Peterson runs the count full before the payoff delivery is grounded to second. Semien flips to Seager for the force out at second.

Christian Walker leads off for the D backs and he lines a single into center field.

Nathaniel Lowe will lead things off and he grounds one to second for Marte. The throw to first gets the first out.

Andrew Saalfrank will take over on the mound for Arizona.
Gabriel Moreno the hitter now with runners at the corners and three straight strikes send him down looking to end the inning. But the Diamondbacks blow the doors wide open! They take a 7-1 lead!

Corbin Carroll up and he rips the first pitch into right field for a single! Perdomo rounds third and Garcia's throw to the plate not in time!

Ketel Marte up now and the Rangers are in a tight spot. Marte rips a single up the middle! Pham scores! The thrw to the plate is not in time. Rivera scores! Perdomo goes to second.
Geraldo Perdomo up now with two outs and runners on first and second. The first pitch is in there for a strike. The delivery from Pérez is in there again and it is 0-2.
Perdomo fouls one off and then holds off on three balls low to run the count full.
Pérez's payoff delivery is in the dirt and skips away from Heim, but not far enough for Pham to go home. The bases are now loaded!
Rivera works the count full. Pérez's payoff delivery misses high and Rivera draws the walk.

Corbin Carroll up now and rips a sharp single to left. Longoria rounds third and will score! The D-backs extend their lead!
Ketel Marte the hitter and he rips a grounder to third. Jung goes to first and gets him by half a step.

Geraldo Perdomo up now and he bunts one back to the mound. Heaney fields it and goes to first for the out. Longoria advances to second on the sac bunt.

Bruce Bochy has seen enough and he calls on Andrew Heaney to take over from Jordan Montgomery.

Evan Longoria the hitter and he rips a shot at third base but Jung can't come up with it! It squirts into left and Thomas will score from second. The D-backs get an insurance run.

Alek Thomas leads off for Arizona and he rips a shot into left center field and it will find the gap! It bounces off the wall and Thomas is in with a leadoff double!
Evan Carter the hitter and he falls behind in the count before chasing a low breaking ball for strike three. Merrill Kelly is on fire!
Corey Seager up now and he works the count to 2-2 before swinging at a high fastball for strike three.

Marcus Semien leads off for Texas and works the count to 2-2 before watching a called strike three go by.

Alek Thomas the hitter and before a pitch can be thrown, Jordan Montgomery picks to second and catches Tommy Pham napping to end the inning.
Double
Tommy Pham the hitter and he rips another double down the right field line! It carens off the corner a bit weird. Adolis Garcia comes up throwing to second and Pham slides in there! That is his second double!
Christian Walker up now and he lifts the second delivery to shallow right field. Nathaniel Lowe drifts back from first and makes the catch. Two down.
Top 6th
Gabriel Moreno leads off for the D-backs and taps the first delivery just in front of the plate. Jonah Heim fields it and the throw to first gets the first out.
Leody Taveras the hitter and watches a strike and two balls go by. 2-1
A fastball catches the bottom edge and the count is even. 2-2
A changeup is tapped back toward the mound and Kelly makes the throw to first to get out of the inning.
But the Rangers get on the board and pull one back. After five it is D-backs 2, Rangers 1
Josh Jung up now and he rips the first one to short but Perdomo can't handle it. Jung is in there with a two out single.
Nathaniel Lowe up now and he jumps on the first delivery and cracks it a long way to left center! The crowd is up and Lourdes Gurriel makes the catch at the wall! For the briefest of seconds it looked as if it might carry.
Jonah Heim the hitter and he chops one to first base. It catches the bag and hops over Walker and he leaps and fields it with his bare hand! Great play! The flip to Kelly on the base gets the out.
Bottom 5th
Mitch Garver leads things off for the Rangers and he crushes a huge shot to left! That is gone! Leadoff home run and the Rangers pull one back!
Carroll takes the next delivery in the dirt and the count is full. The payoff pitch is popped up high on the left side of the infield and Josh Jung takes it in to end the inning.
Stolen base
Corbin Carroll up now with a runner on first and two outs. He takes a strike on the outside edge and holds off another delivery a little furter out. The changeup from Monty is fouled back and it is 1-2
Another foul ball and we reset and do it again. Perdomo gets an outstanding jump on the next delivery and Heim has no chance to throw him out.
Ketel Marte lifts the first pitch into shallow center field. Semien drifts back and takes it for out number two.

Evan Longoria leads things off for Arizona and he lays off the first three pitches that miss.
The 3-0 is a sinker for a called strike and the following pitch is ripped to short for Seager. The throw to first get's the first out.
Adolis Garcia to the plate and Moreno tries to back pick Carter on first. Garcia lifts the second delivery to right field but right at Corbin Carroll to retire the side.
Evan Carter the hitter and he plunks a blooper into center field for a single.
Corey Seager up now and he goes after the first delivery, lifting it to center field but directly at Alek Thomas. Two gone

Marcus Semien leads off for the Rangers and he jumps on the first pitch, driving it deep to left, but Gurriel gets to it on the warning track. One away
Alek Thomas up now and a generous call sees the count run 1-1.
The curveball is ripped to first for Nathaniel Lowe who steps on the bag to end the inning.
But the Diamondbacks strike first, opening things up 2-0

Lourdes Gurriel the hitter and he loops a single into left field. Tommy Pham rounds third. The throw from Carter is cut off and the D-backs score again!

Tommy Pham up now and he jumps on the first pitch, ripping it down the right field line and into the corner for a double.
Christian Walker the hitter and he rips one down the third base line and Josh Jung makes a diving catch! The long throw to first gets him by a half step! Two down.

Gabriel Moreno the hitter now and he works the count full.
Montgomery's payoff delivery is crushed to left center field! It is gone! Moreno strikes first with a solo shot!
