The Los Angeles Dodgers plan to bolster their roster for the second half of the 2024 Major League Baseball season and have until July 30th to make trades with other teams. One of the players who has been on the radar of the LA team is Bo Bichette of the Toronto Blue Jays, to reinforce the shortstop position due to Mookie Betts’ injury.

Bichette and the Blue Jays escape

The 26-year-old player is seeking his exit from the Blue Jays, a team that is not contending this season, in order to compete for a World Series win this year. When asked about the rumors placing him in Los Angeles this summer, Bichette responded, “No, it doesn’t surprise me at all.”

It’s a clear response, and now we have to wait and see if the Blue Jays decide to trade him before the deadline. Toronto’s franchise is currently eight games out of the last wild card spot in the American League, which is why Bichette mentioned that a move to another team wouldn’t surprise him.

Bo has been named to the MLB All-Star Game and this season has recorded four home runs and 28 runs batted in over 277 at-bats with Toronto. He is considered one of the top players in Major League Baseball and would bolster the offense of the Los Angeles Dodgers, alongside stars like Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman.
